The proposed rule released July 2 (covered in the July 3 briefing) was on public inspection and is now scheduled to publish officially in the Federal Register on Monday, July 7, 2026. CMS accepts comments for 60 days following publication, so the comment window closes on or about September 5, 2026 (confirm the exact date on the published notice). ASCs and management wishing to comment on the proposed 2.4% CY 2027 payment update, IPO-list Year 2 removals, ASCQR measure changes, or the botulinum-toxin prior-authorization expansion should calendar this deadline now.
