ASC Daily Briefing — July 1, 2026
🆕 New Today
No new items today. See the Standing Compliance Reference for items currently in effect. Today’s review surfaced only items already captured in the standing Page and recent briefings — the CY 2026 OPPS/ASC Final Rule, the Inpatient-Only list phase-out, ASCQR measure changes, price transparency enforcement, AAAHC v44/v45, the Joint Commission Physical Environment consolidation, and the CMS accrediting-organization oversight rule. The anticipated CY 2027 OPPS/ASC Proposed Rule (CMS-1835-P) has not yet posted; watch the Federal Register in mid-July.
🔁 Standing Items Changed
Corrected the standing accreditor roster: DNV Healthcare, Inc. has been added as the fourth CMS-approved ASC accreditor (initial approval effective Dec 8, 2025 through Dec 10, 2029), alongside AAAHC, QUAD A, and The Joint Commission. This was reported in the June 27 briefing but had not yet been reflected on the standing Page; the “Accrediting organizations (deemed status)” line has been updated and the review date advanced to July 1, 2026.
